It shouldn't be too hard to grab those two numbers from a URL in the format of https://courseworks2.columbia.edu/courses/123/assignments/456

This could even be generalized to support any Canvas instance e.g. by looking for /courses in the URL.

Totally agree. Head TA could set up all the assignment links early in the semester in some CSV. This would help speed up posting grades.
