Hi, have an issue to get the display to work its a slightly different one from ali express with jumper on the back. So probably there is a =nother driver and that's why it doesn't work or something with the connection i guess...order a new display and will try that first...if its SPI connection what's the prob, how can i test?
Thanks and awesome keep up the good work...also some small advice: maybe write a bit more about the software part. PIN 6 to Ground to flash and such like that would be helpful:)

Did you bridge JP101? It's a solder jumper, which connects the SPI out (MISO) from the display to the ESP, it shouldn't matter, as the display is receiving data only.
Check all display connections, pg. 1 and pg. 5 of the schematic. If you have an oscilloscope, you can check if signals arrive on the display pins, CS (chip select), DC, SDI, SCK, those are effectively SPI pins.
The display needs to be configured to SPI mode, if it is a multi-bus type display.
Let me know how it goes...
Hi, took me a while but Display and boot up works, i have an issue where i go into a submenu and it hangs and the buttons don't work e.g. can't start sample. I saw there was a closed issue where it was the codec, so i bought new WM8731S desoldered meanwhile two from two different batches. But still no "Erfolg" ... anyone could give me a tip where i headed wrong ..?
