glow and gloom⚓︎
+That orange dot kept blinking at the edge of the golden route, as Toril walked back into the office.
eDAN's honey badger hollographic figure seemed at work. The map had zoomed in around the area marking the network error. A channel of shipments had stopped. In her 2D map she would not know the place but by its address, in this map she immediately recognized the building. It was an old art school that had been repurposed into the recycling center. The Warehouse had a large direct channel to it, as many shipment returns were sent there.
The golden route showed something the 2D map did not, the art school had multiple outbound and inbound channels she was unaware of.
"eDan can you highlight only the golden route?" asked Toril with curiosity.
The map zoomed out showing outbound channels with direct routes from the Warehouse to various places in the city.
"eDAN can you highlight all of the golden route, please, including its extended outbound and inbound channels?" said Toril, getting more specific.
The golden route lit up like a neural network with small glowing hubs and dendrites extending from them. It spread throughout the city in a decentralized fashion, with some hubs not connected directly to the Warehouse.
Until now, Toril's image of Rigmor's shipping was the Warehouse from which all roads stemmed. The golden route felt so much different, as if it had grown organically.
It spread out in unusual patterns, in particular, unto the poorest area in the city and also the largest by far. A place of eternal gloom, where even its name had been removed, replaced with a number: 4.
