I'm trying this out for the first time but not getting any image rendered, any idea what might be going wrong?

This is what I get then showing the example:

I'm on arch linux with lookatme 2.3.0 and ueberzug installed.

Have the same issue. On Gnome 42 xorg session. Tried kitty and gnome-terminal.

Also on good ol' xterm - no dice.

I see no meaningful debug info, either.

Looking into this, seeing it myself too.

Hmm, got this to work today:

Alright, I guess when I first wrote this I wasn't using Wayland. If you're using Wayland instead of X11, you won't be seeing any images. ueberzug works only with X11.

I'll add a comment in the README

It also apparently doesn't mesh well with emulators that like to "daemonize" off of 1 PID like some modern emulators like Kitty.

Curious: Which emulator are you using? I tried 3 different ones on X11: Kitty, Gnome and XTerm

I'm just using gnome-terminal right now.
