There is merit to letting this be a historical "todo" app, but given that this is cited and referenced at https://pouchdb.com/getting-started.html, it seems like using a recent version is important. It doesn't have to always be using the latest, but 7 years old seems to be a bit much.

I propose:

  • updating the README to mention which PouchDB version is used and when the project was last updated
  • creating a branch for "start" and a branch for "finished" (where master equals start)
  • perhaps having the pouchdb.com team update their page to reference the project directly rather than having users download an older zip of the project
