Dsub 5.5.3
Android 9

I recently noticed that DSub takes a long time to start or respond. (40s-2minutes)

In the case that the UI is actually displayed, it looks empty and unpopulized. Certainly the currently queued song does not appear in the bottom status until much later.

This happens when

  • I taskswitch to DSUB
  • I resume a playlist via the widget where all songs have been cached
  • I start DSUB

I presume that Dsub is querying the server in each instance and does not continue until it gets a response, since it does not seem to happen in offline mode.

It would be awesome if DSUB did not block the UI while waiting for the server. It also would be awesome if it were to play cached music right away and not wait for the server to say hello.
