Maintenance #2
Comments
Hi Dani,
I've made some modifications to pyF3D while using it in FibriPy. Removing
bugs, improving the devices parallelization and compatibility with python
3. I believe that should be the latest version. I can go ahead and update
the repo, and if Holden is also ok with that, I think it's great to include
it in skimage.
Best,
Talita

Hi Dani and Talita, I also think it would be great to include the package in skimage! I'm not currently maintaining the package. If you'd like I could also transfer the repo to either of you or a collaborator, since I'm not at LBNL anymore. -Holden |
Hi Holden,
I will be glad to "adopt" the package if you want to transfer to me. Do you
have any publication on this so that we can mention you when using what you
start building? thanks a lot. ~Dani
Best Regards,
Dani

Hi Dani, Great! I believe I started the process and you should get a notification for the transfer. I'm not aware of any publications using/concerning this code, but the kernels were originally from Hari. Thanks! -Holden |
Hi Holden,
Thanks for the transfer, I've accepted and will be working with Hari to
keep this work alive. Where are you these days? is it relevant to you to be
involved in the next steps of this package or other efforts? Please let me
know. thanks,
Best Regards,
Dani

Great! I'm glad to hear it. Currently I'm attending grad school at Carnegie Mellon, and now my work is all based on density functional theory calculations. I don't think I'll be working with the package in the future, so it's not necessary for me to be involved in the next steps. Thank you for asking! |
