Colour scheme is not selected automatically

When I create or open a new org mode file, the colour scheme is not automatically applied (even though it is set in the syntax-specific settings and the syntax highlighting is set to orgmode). I have to close and re-open the file. I'm not sure if this is a bug in your package or sublime text, so please excuse me if it's not your fault.

I'm using Sublime Text Build 3086 on Linux amd64.
