I am currently building an open source software which helps users organizing and normalizing their google photos takeout data for use in e.g. immich.
During development we encountered various problems with the dart mime package.
Namely:

which @ireun addressed here:

and

which I addressed as an issue here:
#2131 (comment)
This pull request includes the changes of @ireun and would fix both issues in one release and allow us to continue development.
I signed the contribution agreement and hope for a prompt review.
