It may make sense to provide a custom command xhprof with this add-on that at least tells about the xhgui URL, and that doesn't give the /xhprof URL after ddev xhprof on.

I get confused between ddev xhgui and ddev xhprof so maybe they can be combined into just ddev xhprof ?

Agreed. That current approach works, but it's not the a great user experience.
