If I select and drag multiple entities, only one is regrouped

If I select multiple entities by pressing Shift, and then drag them to become children of another entity, it looks like I'm dragging all of them, but in reality I'm only dragging the first one I selected. This is very disconcerting, I expect for all the items that I'm dragging to be regroupped.

The problem happens both if I select the items on the entity tree or if I select them in the canvas.
