Search bar on the map is not giving results

Description:

When you try to search for a location via the search bar on the map it doesn't seem to find any places.

Expected Behavior:

Search bar working properly

Current Behavior:

Searching bar does not give results

Steps to reproduce:

-open/close chat by clicking enter twice
-open map and try to search a location using the search bar

Additionally, this is caused by text pending to be sent on the main chat, it also causes users to not be able to use any key shortcuts (open map using the "M" key etc.)
