I think providing bindings for https://docs.rs/object_store/latest/object_store/prefix/struct.PrefixStore.html in obstore is the simplest path to unblocking zarr-developers/zarr-python#1661 for remote stores. I'd be glad to help with this next year with some guidance to break into Rust a bit.
