Import-Excel functionality broken

Hello, I've been using successfully this module successfully for few months now, but suddenly it broke. I have a excel file with 4 columns where column A has the ID for the related row in column B. What Import-Excel module has done successfully so far is to dinamically retrieve a list of items, write it to column D and if the item in column D matches the name of an item in column B, it writes the related ID from column A to column C. Suddenly it writes now IDs taht don't match anymore. This is the code I have:

Nobody has touched the code, I'm the only person with access to it. I don't understand. The only change done was to add to the excel file new rows to column A and B, but I don't think that should change anything

resolved by recreating the excel file
