Nori: several questions #11
Comments
I can help a bit on this...
easyeda, jlcpcb and lcsc are sister-companies. You can order PCBs from
JLCPCB, order components from LCSC and request to merge the shipments and
save on shipping that way.
LCSC doesn't have pro micros or keyboard switches. These will need to be
ordered somewhere else. They have diodes, reset switches and many other
components that are needed.
They also don't have screws and standoffs.
As for the ws2812. I am not sure entirely. The PCB doesn't appear to
support adding RGB strips (for underglow), however, you can always solder a
small jumper to one of the unused pins of the Pro Micro. It's not the
easiest but is possible...
If you want under-key RGB, then no, it's not possible. The PCB only uses
standard 2-pin LEDs.

Two questions:
-
you mention "EasyEDA ordering info" at
https://github.com/di0ib/Misc/tree/master/nori -- does it mean that
EasyEDA can also provide the necessary components (diodes, pro micro,
switches, ...)?
-
is it possible to use individually-addressable (ws2812b?) LEDs with
this board? This makes my question highly related to #7
<#7>.
Thanks!

Hi @jpconstantineau, thanks for your response and advice!
Okay, and can I individually address these (non-RGB) under-key LEDs? |
Looking at the nori traces, it looks like all the LEDs are driven from a
single mosfet. As such, no they are not individually addressable.
