To elaborate on what DakkJaniels said: Vanilla Diablo wasn't applying the intended difficulty hp bonuses correctly due to a bug, and as a result, documentation on websites like that wiki likely reflect the actual mechanics. DevilutionX fixed the bug that was causing these bonuses not to be applied correctly. |

I wanted to try a level 1 hell difficulty run like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ew64aKjehCM
But enemies appear to be using the hellfire version of difficulty scaling where they get +50 / +100 base hp (see here https://diablo.fandom.com/wiki/Difficulty), even though I'm launching the base diablo game, even tried removing all hellfire files/resintalling without them.
Which means no enemies can be killed at level 1 as they regenerate too fast. Would be good if there was a toggle between these difficulty scaling types.
