Some ideas for analysis from call on July 21:

  • For each indicator, plot time trends with data at monthly level (NB: there is seasonality within a year, this is normal. we can also think about detrending data)

  • Analysis of unit prices, effect of inflation? If we will do a DID, this is taken into account by trends in the control group

  • Analysis of competition: First, we can look at the average number of bidders across all tenders. Next, we can look at the mechanisms: 1) share of non-competitive tenders [explore whether procedures less conducive to competition are more used], 2) average number of bidders in competitive tenders only [whether there is less participation of firms even in competitive tenders].
