Hi,

I want to install and try GenomeVIP on a local machine (CentOS system), but I don't know how to do it after reading the docs. Can you give me some instructions (such as how to init, how to open it in browser, how to execute a workflow)?

Thanks!

Yiwei Niu

Hi Yiwei: At the very least, you would need to install a web server and configure it to serve GenomeVIP and also modify GenomeVIP's configuration files to point to the locations of genomics tools. Supporting software may or may not be needed depending on what is already installed on your local machine. Installation in a virtual machine as your "local machine" is possible, and installation using Docker should be theoretically possible as well. Feel free to contact me (rmashl) and we can work out a solution. Thanks, Jay
