Sending messages is not working #3
Comments
I don't even see a "message" button when viewing your profile. Are you sharing with me? Manually sending message to your id throws the 500 anyways. |
hmm, maybe it's because of the invalid user...we should clean up the DB since my user may be incomplete. Andreas was not really able to find me.... |
The message button is on the top lane, next to stream and activity .. you have to type in a name on your own as it seems. Maybe the normal pods have something like an auto completion? |
yeah, usually the pods have autocomplete |
this seems to be a related issue upstream: diaspora#3749 |
@sebastiangraf I think you can find me now. I didn't enable "Search" in my profile. @DanScharon diaspora#3749 got closed because it's a duplicate of diaspora#3654 I think we might have to share a common aspect? Can someone test this with me? I'm searchable now, created the aspect #UKon and added you. Also: diaspora#3723 seems to give a user a way better response. |
@saenridanra right, diaspora#3749 got closed, but the OP reopened it because he says it's not a duplicate: diaspora#3749 (comment) |
I just looked up the database, it seems that sharing really is set to "0". Only the receiving values are set to true. We have no two-way contact set up in the database yet. If we have that and there's still no sharing set to "1", we should look further into this. Right now it indicates that you can't simply write to a person who isn't sharing anything with you. -> Edit: Nope, just checked again against the people table - there is a two way connection and sharing is not set to true. |
Only send private messages people share between themselves. And you should only put the autocomplete (javascript) in the "TO". So temporarily, I proposed this solution diaspora#3723 and reached this goal of future http://www.loomio.org/discussions/1033 |
The message-functionality throws an 500 Server at the moment.
