The ruby repository fork in this org is quite old, currently 7156 commits behind master.

The how-to instructions mention how to clone this repository to add docs patches.

If a user follows those instructions, they're perhaps wasting effort: the upstream may have moved on.

Yes! Thank you for noticing :(

I recently talked to @davydovanton about deprecating this fork and updating the docs to just point to upstream instead, because I have no capacity to maintain it.
