Dark mode

Feature request for dark mode, I will attempt to do some work on this myself, but thought I'd log it here

I agree this would be nice to have, but work on this feature wouldn't be feasible until the migration from Angular JS to Angular+ is complete, which includes a switch to the modern material framework which supports dark/light mode. Further, it would likely be beneficial to wait for Angular's new mdc-web components to rollout and tackle it all at once.

The most helpful contribution at the moment would be to contribute to the migration I think, however we would appreciate contribution in any aspect of course :)
