can not login by domain name ip but could login by numeric ip

Recently, I update last IMathAS system; but as title, occurs a wizard twist: can not login in domain ip.
After tries, I add one line, " session_start();" in index.php, then works. Is it correct to solve this prpblem? Or I has to check what the session is created in the request?
