@MikeRund is trying to figure out if he can work from @home for a few months in the new year.
But it looks like #Brexit is going to make this challenging ...

@iteles can you please investigate how we can help Mike come back in Jan? 🙏

Temporary stay visa seems like it would be applicable and timely:

Looks like you don't need to pay me 4x the salary... 🙄. Checkout how it works

Grand!

Looks like you'll need a police certificate either way and that'll be a rush job so the visa application can get sorted because otherwise it wouldn't be done before the end of the year (unless you already have one):

Then the application form itself looks fairly innocuous:

Seems like all we need to do is get an offer to you asap so you can decide if you'd like to come back!

I do not have a police certificate either, will have to apply for that one too.

Let me know as soon as you have an offer ready! 🚀✈️

@MikeRund could you please re-read the requirements and confirm exactly what is required in the Contract in order to qualify for the Visa? Comment in this thread so we can ensure that what we send you works. Thanks. 🙏

With respect to the work contract / promise of work this is what the visa office details:

Image

I believe the "promise of an employment" sentence is referring to a signed letter of intent if a contract is not yet available.
Harnessing the powers of AI yielded the following:

I remember Inês saying the wording is a bit wonky due to dodgy translation. Perhaps its clearer on the Portuguese site but to my understanding it seems I need either a signed contract or signed letter of intent off you two 😁
