**Feature Request: Referral Management **

Title: Referral Management – Option to Refer a Patient from Encounter

Description:

In the Patient Encounter Doctype, we need an option to refer a patient to another Practitioner or Medical Department. This feature will streamline patient referrals within the system and improve care coordination.

Proposed Workflow:

1. Referral Action in Patient Encounter:

   • Add a "Refer Patient" button in the Patient Encounter form.
   • The user selects the Practitioner or Medical Department for the referral.
   • Optionally, allow adding notes or instructions for the receiving provider.

2. Automatic Creation of Service Request & Appointment:

   • When a referral is submitted, it should automatically create a Service Request linked to the selected Practitioner/Department.
   • A Patient Appointment should also be generated in a "Referred" status.

3. Linking & Tracking Referrals:

   • The source Patient Encounter should be linked in both the Service Request and Patient Appointment.
   • The status of the referral should be updated based on whether an appointment is scheduled or completed.
   • Users should be able to track and manage referrals from the Practitioner’s dashboard.
