Probably using a version newer than 115ESR. I was having the same problem when I checked my version (use "about:support") and saw that it updated to 128ESR without my permission
Update: After reinstalling 115ESR the problem is indeed gone, install 115ESR over 128ESR and you should be golden (You may have to run 115ESR with the "--allow-downgrade" flag like I did so it doesn't force you to make a new profile--if you want to be safe, you might want to back up your profile folder before doing this. I had no issues though)
When i try to search with the topbar, the text goes transparent and i cant see what im typing
