are we all still on for tomorrow? I haven't read yet but will do so this afternoon, not planning to have any code done though. |
I'll be there! |
I'll be there and ditto on the work

hey all, are we still all on board for meeting tomorrow morning? I have not tried the pseudocode but will spend a little time with it this evening. Sebastian, did you find a copy of the book? |
I am out of town this week. Sebas, feel free to borrow my book. It should be in Darcy's office. |
Even if we don't get to code, it might be helpful to talk about the examples in the book and work through a few numeric problems. If we want to do that, here's a site with some simple problems (and answers) we can try and then discuss and modify and whatnot: http://www2.stat.duke.edu/~jerry/sta101/extraproblems/bayesian.htm |
Hey, Nope, the Interlibrary loan request has not been replied by any uni yet so it has not arrived yet. I'm planning to go early tomorrow to the library see if that missing book is in shelf now, or I'll stop by Darcy's office (not sure I'll have enough time if I do the later). I'm up to meet anyhow, hopefully with the chapter read |
We basically wrapped up Ch. 8 today, waving our hands and cursing optim() a bit. Next week we'll meet to discuss Ch. 9, everyone having read it and maybe tried the code a bit even if we didn't finish it. Then two weeks we'll finish it up. Sound good?
