Specifically, rowHeight is computed using unscaled heights, whereas x is advanced by scaled widths. So rowHeight might be too big/small for symbols that have width="auto" height="10", which gets treated as a height-10 element for rowHeight even though it gets scaled. (Arguably, perhaps it shouldn't be scaled? only if preserveAspectRatio?)
