I just started university and have gotten some Readium DRM licensed epub books to read (due to my disability).
I'm a Linux user, and the Thorium AppImage is (along with FBReader) the only choice to use due to the DRM.
The book-choosing UI is fine, and if I open a .pdf, it's fine, but there's a HUGE (+3 min lag) when needing to change page or do something in the .epub files (periodically).

OS: Nobara Linux (Fedora) 41
KDE Plasma 6.2.5 & Gnome 45
Kernel 6.12.11
HW: Ryzen 5, 5600X (also tried with my ROG G14 with 4800HS with regular Fedora KDE)
Using Wayland (I don't have a X11 instance)

Hello, thank you for reporting this problem. This is a known issue with Thorium v3.0.0 which is now be fixed, as far as we know (tested internally and by exiternal users). Could you please try a non-DRM EPUB with the latest build from the following link (AppImage and / or Debian package, please):
https://github.com/edrlab/thorium-reader/releases/tag/latest-linux-intel
Thank you! Regards, Daniel

Ah - awesome! When can I expect the alpha build to be stable? It'd be very nice to be able to read my homework before classes 😄
