Feature request - Allow for per-site configuration of the mail notification template #427
Comments
I believe this is a duplicate of #173 (now closed, for some reason). FWIW, I have implemented the described functionality in my fork - hispanic#4 |
Indeed, you're right. I had searched on open issues only… Your reaction time's impressive too. I think I may have a closer look to staticwoman. :) |
I had a look at Staticwoman's implementation and I realize I haven't been clear about the feature I had in mind: it would be nice if a Staticman instance could have several mail templates, depending on the profile being used. My own use-case is a multilingual site, but all notifications must be sent in English (which sort of defeats the purpose of a multilingual site). Another use-case is if a server is used for several websites, maybe some sites would love a custom template and so on. So, having a possibility to set it from the site config would be great! |
Gotcha'. That would definitely be a step beyond. You might want to consider re-titling your issue to better describe the goal. |
I'm not entirely sure this is feasible, but this would be a great idea to customize the mail notification template from the site config. It would help for multilingual/non-English websites.
Thanks for the great work on Staticman!
