The timeline panel is used for editing animated clips. This panel can only be displayed under animation.

 

a ). Play control tool

。Timeline panel on the playback control tool, used to control the playback of animation clips.From left to right: return to first frame button, previous frame button, reverse button, play button, next frame button, last frame button, play speed control slider, current frame, current time, frame rate.

  • The control range of the playback speed control slider is 0.1x ~ 10x.

  • Current frame: editable, input the specific frame number, the green play pointer will jump to the corresponding frame number. Drag the green pointer or play an animation to change the value of the current frame.

  • Current time: not editable, calculated based on current frame and frame rate.

  • Frame rate: editable, default is 24fps. Sets the number of frames per second of animation.

 

b ). Frame edit toolbar

The frame editing toolbar, from left to right, is: onion skin button, copy frame button, cut frame button, paste frame button and delete frame button.

  • Onion skin button: switch onion skin function.

  • Copy frame button: click on the selected key frame, and the parameters of the frame will be copied to the clipboard.

  • Cut frame button: click on the selected key frame, and the parameters of the frame will be cut into the clipboard.

  • Paste frame button: the frame parameters in the clipboard can be pasted to any number of frames in the timeline, any layer (the frames of bone layer and slot layer cannot paste each other, the parameters recorded in the key frame are the relative changes of the previous key frame, and the relative changes of frame 0 are all 0), and the existing key frames can also be overwritten.

  • Delete frame button: deletes the currently selected frame.

 

c ).  Timeline toolbar

  • Collapse list: collapse all layers on the timeline.

  • Expand list: expands all layers on the timeline.

  • Move one frame to the right and one frame to the left: click the button to move the entire keyframe to select all the keyframes to the right. If the previous frame on the left has a key frame, it cannot move to the left again, and the key frame button will be grayed out if it moves to the left.

  • Automatic keyframe: a button with two on and off states, white for off and red for on. When enabled, changes to the bone or slot will automatically add keyframes to the frame in which the green play pointer is located and to the corresponding bone or slot layer.

  • Graph panel button:Switch graph panel.


d ).Timeline zoom tool

The timeline scaling tool is used to control the scale of the timeline. The left side is suitable for screen buttons, - and + buttons control zooming in and out. You can also control the zoom by dragging the slider.

  • The key frames in the bone layer are white, the key frames in the slot layer are yellow, the key frames in the event layer are red, and the bone key frames containing events, jumps and sounds are pink.

  • The first layer of the timeline is the animation clip layer, which cannot be edited directly. After adding key frames in any other layer, the diamond box will appear in the animation clip layer, indicating the existence of key frames in a layer or layers under the current frame.White represents the skeleton layer key frame, yellow represents the slot layer key frame, red represents the event layer key frame, and pink represents the key frame with multiple layers mixed.Select the diamond to select all key frames in that frame. You can pan, drag, copy, cut, paste, and delete the whole thing.

  • As long as there is a keyframe in the corresponding frame number, a red line will appear on the timeline ruler, and the timeline ruler will not scroll up and down with the timeline scroll bar, which is always visible.

  • The first stage of the timeline is the bone layer or event layer, and the second stage is the slot layer, which is indented one layer to the right relative to the bone layer. There is no hierarchical relationship between father and son bones in the timeline. The event layer has only one layer.

  • The selected layer will be highlighted and the corresponding layer's skeleton or slot will be selected, and vice versa.

  • The key frame can be dragged and dropped in the same layer of the timeline.


The frame box to choose

DragonBones Pro 4.2 Start support for frame selection within the timeline. The frame to be operated can be selected in the time axis. After being selected, the frame can be copied, cut, deleted and other operations.

After selecting the box, move the mouse to the inside of the box and click and drag when the mouse cursor turns into a cross four-way arrow to pan the selected frame left and right.

After selecting the box, move the mouse to the edge of the box. When the mouse cursor changes to the left and right arrows, click and drag to scale the spacing of the selected frame and then change the animation speed.
