Strange behavior with Zone/Country mode

It seems Zone/Country mode preference is no longer stored in the application cache, nor read and applied when avalable in cache.

This is by design as some users didn't understand how this was persisted and filed feedback that they got "stuck" and that exchanges where missing even when they where not.

We will look into how we can bring this back in a way that both persist the state and make it clearer how it works.
