Steps to reproduce

  1. Start a video call
  2. Start a screenshare in the video call
  3. The Plasma screenshare portal pops up, prompting me to select a window to share
  4. Select a window to share

Outcome

What did you expect?

I expect that selecting a window or my entire screen starts a screenshare of that area.

What happened instead?

After selecting a window, the portal closes for a second, then reopens and prompts me for a selection again. It does this in a loop, each time it fails printing the following error to the console:
'loop->recurse > 0' failed at ../pipewire/src/pipewire/thread-loop.c:425 pw_thread_loop_wait().

When, instead of selecting a window, I close the screenshare portal, Element outright crashes, spamming this into the console:
element error.txt

Operating system

Arch Linux

Application version

Element version: 1.11.75

How did you install the app?

As a tarball from the Element website, as an Arch native package (element-desktop), as a Flatpak

Homeserver

matrix.org

Will you send logs?

Yes
