Steps to reproduce

  1. Where are you starting? What can you see?
Attempt to join any Element call on Element Nightly

  2. What do you click?
I click on a video room > Join

Outcome

What did you expect?

I expect to be able to see and hear other participants

What happened instead?

It sits there saying "Waiting for other participants" However you can see that in the below image, it says 2 people (me and test subject) on different networks are connected to the room.

My coTurn server looks to be functioning and passing the ICE tests just fine. I recently had to reset my homeserver but all the yaml file with the turn information stayed the same.

It also looks like there is a new bug where pre-existing video rooms will disappear or not appear at all. Please see the below to see what im talking about:

That second image may be confused - I deleted the Test3 room, this is an issue with already existing video rooms (aka VC-1) where you click on it and its just a blank element panel.

Not experiencing the first bug! The second bug however, seems to still be in effect as far as I can tell. Any old Element Call video room will disappear, and any newly created one will disappear once clicked away from.

It looks like the rooms are back up and running now after the latest nightly update. However I am still seeing and issues with "Waiting for other participants" - I have also enabled the fallback call of assist server and im seeing the same thing.

I am still seeing an issue with Element Nightly calls - I confirmed that the TURN server is working with the tester:

The Element Video Room can tell there are two people there, but it sits there "Waiting for other Participants" - any assistance?

I'm also having this problem. I try frequently but I have NEVER got Element Call to actually work in all the time it's been available. Both of us on Nightly.

Has anyone got it to work??

Also @Maximexe how did you test TURN?

any fixes on this? I can't get it to work either. @moodler
