What Happened

If I have the dock set to auto-hide, I swipe up from the bottom edge to invoke the dock, but it disappears before I can move to select my desired icon.

I can get it to stick around if I swipe up then quickly back down again; but then it won't go away until I click on one of the dock icons to launch something.

Expected Behavior

The dock should stay on screen until I press elsewhere on the screen, such as another app or the empty desktop, after which it will return to its hidden state. As per Windows, and Gnome's dash-to-panel extension.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Swipe up from bottom edge; dock appears but goes away quickly
  2. Swipe up but quickly back down; dock stays around but cannot be dismissed by clicking away from the dock
