A Satoshi is the smallest denomination of Bitcoin. 1 Satoshi = 0.00000001 Bitcoin

Pros:

  • Integers are reliable to compare
  • Integers are easier to store
  • Integers work nicely with the Silverstripe framework

Cons:

  • Decent amount of work
  • Possibly need to revert changes committed to Swipestripe.
