Use of shinydashboard?

Comments on using shinydashboard (https://rstudio.github.io/shinydashboard/)?

My thoughts: I don't see any downsides to trying this. It looks like it has a nice interface and to keep things well organized. But it doesn't appear to have any inherent advantages to just a Shiny application besides having a nice color scheme. I could be wrong. I haven't looked into shinydashboard too deeply.
