Starting to get clients preferring to use Mastodon and Reddit over Twitter for connecting with their communities.
I can make some SEO field tweaks to get it to work but it would be awesome if there was a way to officially add support to the meta tagging and previews.

Do you happen to know what meta tags Mastodon reads from when building the link previews?
I'm assuming both Reddit and Mastodon read from og:... tags?

If so, we could simply add a reference to the fact that those networks will pull from the field currently labelled as Facebook, maybe renaming it to Open Graph and include links for Facebook, LinkedIn, Reddit and Mastodon.

Were there other features of the Mastodon Preview Card you wanted to be able to support in SEO?

I use this information to create some og: info. https://docs.joinmastodon.org/entities/PreviewCard/ It’s pretty straight forward. But having the preview would let me adjust title and description for each service. — Cynder
