Wenn du den echten Hersteller herausfindest oder über Lidl das Modbus-Protokoll erfragst sollte das kein Problem sein.
Mehr Details des Inneren könnten auch dabei helfen.

Sobald klar ist wer das Ding gebaut hat findet man sofort auch das passende Protokoll dazu.
Vielleicht haben wir das sogar schon unter anderem Namen drin.

Der Händler ist halt sicher nicht der richtige Ansprechpartner leider, vielleicht findet man auf der Platine hinweise auf den echten "Hersteller" ?

Wenn man in das Handbuch sieht Seite 17 in der Tabelle unten rechts sieht man schon das hier die zweite Wallbox der "Master" sein soll was etwas komisch 👎

"Wallbox 1" bekommt den "Drehschalter auf 1" als Master und die andern folgen dann.
Wird halt doof wenn man 3x Stück hat und die Nr. 0 am Anfang der Kette gar nicht zum Netzwerk gehört oder?

In der Anleitung ließt sich das so als sowieso nur der Strom aufgeteilt wird zwischen den Boxen, dass muss man dann im RS485 finden :-(

So war auch meine Idee. Hatte die Box im Dezember für 250€ gekauft. Aber wenn du jetzt eine neue WB anmelden möchtest, wird die unter 14a fallen. Also musst du sie auf Zuruf auf 4,2 kW dimmen. Der Anschluss vom eigenen EnergieManagementSystem an die Steuerbox vom Netzbetreiber geht über EEBus. Das kann evcc. Also will man eine Box, die mit evcc funktioniert. Das war die Lidl Box nicht. Habe sie daher zurück geschickt. Jetzt kämpfe ich mit einer Keba PV, auch nicht easy.

@he-so etwas off topic, aber weil ich hier mitlese: die Keba PV habe ich (nach einigem Trial-and-Error) in HA gebracht - wo hängts?

wichtige punkte: Der RJ45 stecker den man da so schön auf dem board hat ist nicht für LAN-Anschluss zu gebrauchen, sondern nur für debugging. LAN muss auf dem Board aufgepatcht werden. Das WLAN modul kann man (zumindest bei meiner) absolut in die Tonne treten. Und sonst via USB Stick auf die neuste Firmware bringen (schrittweise, die Box kann keine Versionssprünge). Aber mittlerweile funktioniert das ganze ziemlich reibungslos. Und: Die PV edition ist eine x-series (wichtig wenn man nach Handbüchern sucht)

@he-so. Deswegen ist der WB so billig. Es kann nicht mehr angemeldet werden. Man könnte es nur mit 4,2 KW anschließen, dass wäre erlaubt dann aber dafür kauft man keine Wallbox.. Immerhin, ich will es in den Niederlanden in Ferienwohnung anschließen. Dafür passt das dann schon.

@incaseoftrouble Ich weiß gar nicht wo ich anfangen soll. Das ganze Konstrukt verhält sich so erratisch. Das mit dem WLAn ist schon der Knaller. Habe extra einen Repeater in einem Meter Abstand platziert, aber trotzdem Latenzen bis 1500ms. Das Webinterface ist übelst lahm, kann ich verschmerzen, kann ja nur Konfiguration, nutze ich eher selten. Gestern lud das Auto noch mit 16A. Abends nicht mehr, nur noch 8. Dachte es liegt vielleicht am vollen SOC. Heute nach längerer Fahrt zurück, angesteckt, immernoch 8A. Alles gecheckt. Box rebooted. Stecker am Auto mehrfach neu gesteckt, dann nur noch Fehler im Auto, bitte prüfen sie das Ladezubehör. Die Box weiter so:“Bitte Kabel stecken“, als wäre es noch nicht drin. Auto reset, Box reboot, gleiches Spiel. 1P Ladeziegel an Steckdose: kein Problem, lädt sofort. Mal die Keba App aufgemacht, es kam ein Hinweis, ich soll auf 1.18 Updaten, freu! Sofort angeklickt: Fehlermeldung. Weggedrückt: Update läuft, 0,5h Dauer. Seit dem, über eine Stunde später: Box ist weg aus dem WLAn, keine IP mehr. Also Kabel auflegen. Habe vor 20Jahren mal ein LSA Werkzeug besessen. Hätte nicht gedacht, das nochmal zu brauchen.

@he-so Jup, so war meine Erfahrung auch... Das WLAN ist effektiv unbrauchbar - in meinem Netz sind noch andere IoT Geräte und gefühlt schmiert das WLAN modul ab sobald irgend ein anderes Gerät im gleichen Netz einmal hustet. Hab dann einen Repeater an das Ding geklemmt und seitdem gehts wunderbar. Webinterface ist immer noch sehr langsam, aber genau, das braucht man nur einmalig. Update via USB-Stick dauert auch ewig aber dann muss man nicht auf das Funktionieren des WLAN bauen.

(Bei mir hat das aufpatchen mit einem dünnen Schlitz-Schraubenzieher auch geklappt - nicht schön, aber das LSA tool war nicht auffindbar. Ist wenn ich mich richtig erinnere auch nur ein 10 Mbit Anschluss)

Hier die antwort von hersteller, will nicht weiterhelfen: Dies Master / Slave Funktion ist eine eigene Regulierung. Sie wird auch mittels DIP Schalter eingestellt. Eine Ableitung zur Strom Regulierung ist nicht möglich. Ende des Jahres kommt jedoch unsere neue Wallbox auf den Markt. Diese beinhaltet dann eine Modbus Registertabelle und ermöglicht eine externe Ansteuerung.

Das wollte ich damit eigentlich andeuten. Wenn jemand die Kommunikation mitschneiden will um sie zu entschlüsseln bzw. reverse engineering zu betreiben. Und ihm dazu eine zweite Wallbox fehlt. Dann würde meine noch zur Verfügung stehen.

Ich habe leider das Wissen dafür nicht. Und durch den Hausbau habe ich auch keine Zeit mir das anzueignen/mich damit zu befassen. Sofern ich das überhaupt schaffen würde.

Mit zwei RS485-Adaptern und einem Raspberry Pi/Notebook könnte der Verkehr ohne größere Probleme aufgezeichnet werden.

Vielleicht reicht es aber auch, sich nur einen RS485 adapter anzuschließen. Nach meinem Verständnis müsste dann die Masterbox versuchen, die Slaveboxen auszulesen. Bei diesem Versuch erhält man den Modbus Funktionscode und das Register.
Das gleiche gilt für das Register, das für die Steuerung verwendet wird. Wahrscheinlich reicht es aus, diesen Mechanismus in irgendeiner Form auszulösen. Das Ganze kann dann z.B. mit dem modbus-cli tool testen.

in der Diskussion scheinen einige dabei zu sein, die sich sehr gut auskennen.
@premultiply meint es sei ja "einfach" wenn man das modbus-Protokoll kennt.
Ich hab eine Wallbox Gewiss JOINON I-CON DLM GWJ3113A und ansonsten alle anderen Komponenten von Huawei.
Ich würde das Überschussladen gerne ermöglichen. Die Wallbox hat aber keine API oder Cloud-Zugang. Nur eine RS485 Schnittstelle, mit der sie mit dem Stromzähler von Gewiss GWD6817 kommunizieren kann. Scheinbar über modbus.
Details hat mir Gewiss leider nur sehr spärlich liefern können.

Das ist zwar die Anleitung vom Stromzähler. Der kommuniziert ja aber genau über diese Adressen mit der Wallbox.

Dann das "Gebastelte". Das nennt sich Protokoll. RS485 ist ein stinknormaler serieller Bus wie er von vielen anderen Wallboxen auch verwendet wird. Es fehlt nur eine Beschreibung des darauf gesprochenen Protokolls. Notfalls könnte man das auch einfach mitschneiden und versuchen zu verstehen.

Sorry, wenn ich mich auch hier einmische, aber als Lidl die WB vor wenigen Wochen für 299 € rausgehauen hat, konnte ich nicht "Nein" sagen.

Als ich die Master/Slave Konfiguration-Anleitung ab S. 15 in der DE/AT/CH Bedienungsanleitung gelesen habe, war ich auch der "Überzeugung", dass nicht nur auf der Verbindung vom Master zum Smart-Meter-Gateway Modbus 'gesprochen' wird (Siehe S. 16 Anschlüsse: Gateway-485A/B), sondern auch auf dem Daisy-Chains jeweils von den NET1-485A/B zu den NET2-485A/B Anschlüssen in der nächsten (Slave)-WB.
(Warum sollte man einen Protokoll-Wechsel vornehmen, wenn man eh schon Modbus mit dem GW 'spricht'?!?)

Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn man statt als Master die erste (und evt. einzige) WB als Slave über Modbus hätte ansprechen können - was anderes sollte der Master ja auch nicht machen- und über die Lastverteilungs-Funktion der WB ein Poor-Mans-Überschussladen hätte realisieren können ...

So, das Kabel ist zumindest schon mal vom Keller bis in die WB und dort angeschlossen, im Keller aber noch 'offen'. Mal sehen, ob ich mit Debian / Armbian auf dem Cubietruck mit dem RS485-Adapter klar komme ... aber nicht mehr heute ;-)

Danke, aber sicher!? Ich lese in der Anleitung das mehr als optional:

Muss die RS485 Schnittstelle mit einem passenden Widerstand konfiguriert werden, ...
Ebenso kann J103 mit dem Anpassungswiderstand R101 verbunden werden.
Im Allgemeinen benötigt die Slave-Maschine, die am weitesten von der Master-Maschine entfernt ist, eine Widerstandsanpassung und J102/J103 müssen gleichzeitig mit dem Anpassungswiderstand verbunden werden.

Ich probier's erst mal so, denn
i) hängt die Box bereits wieder an der Wand
und
ii) sind's ja grad mal höchstens drei Meter Kabel

Wenn's nicht tut kann ich's immer noch ändern ...

So, bin endlich mal dazu gekommen zumindest die Verbindung zum Adapter herzustellen und alles am Cubietruck anzuschließen.
Und zwar habe ich NET1A|B jeweils an A|B des Adapters aufgelegt (und COM (grün) an GND) und habe das "Logging" (cat /dev/ttyUSB0 | tee /dev/ttyUSB0 o.bin) aktiviert und mitlaufen lassen.
Solange ich die WB noch nicht auf Master umgestellt hatte war IMO alles ruhig auf dem Bus. Nachdem ich aber durch das Drehen des Schalters auf Pos 1 RS485 aktiviert hatte, kamen ein paar Signale rein, die ich hier hoch geladen habe.

Vielleicht könnt ihr damit ja schon mal was anfangen. Bei mir kann's zeitlich erst in den nächsten Tagen weiter gehen.

Dem Gedanken folgend habe ich heute den Adapter mit dem Adernpaar an der Schnittstelle Gateway-485A|B angeschlossen.
Aber sowohl in der Kombinationen Master=Off|ON; SMGW-Address=0|13 scheint gar nichts anzukommen. (Hat jemand ne Idee, was denn typische Baudraten auf dem Bus in solchen Szenarien verwendet werden? Ich habe mir auch mal modbus-cli "zugelegt" und per tcp:502 kann ich mit meinen SMA-Komponenten "sprechen", aber seriell?!?.)

Da ich mit der SMGW-Schnittstelle nicht weiter gekommen bin, bin ich wieder zurück an NET1A|B. Diesmal habe ich das cat /dev/ttyUSB0 | tee /dev/ttyUSB0 o.bin während es Ladens unserer Zoe mitlaufen lassen. Hier das File, wieder in TXT umbenannt, damit ichs hochladen kann.

Das Einzige, was ich bis jetzt an Muster erkennen kann, ist, dass die Sequenzen recht kurz sind und entweder durch durch f†ž eingeleitet, bzw. beendet werden?! Wobei sich die Sequenzen auch wiederholen.

It is not enough to know German.
If you do not know the words ( = protocol ) you can not sing a song..

I have one "USWB 11 A1" very interested to integrate it with evcc. Readig this thread I think that it would be easier to integrate it by phisical access into steering button by eg. some ESP32 and external on/off of power supply steering.

I've an USWB11A1 since a few months and have the same "problem" and want to control the wallbox, but the manufacturer don't allow it (even though it was a requirement for the KfW...). I've test some things and can control the current between 6A and the maximum now (1A steps only supported):

1. Got the correct baudrate using an oscilloscope: the wallbox use 4800 8N1 (on a RS485 port - not the SMGW port. SMGW is useless...)
2. Checked the communication between the master and slave
3. Test all CRCs to find out which one was used (pycrc and a loop over all modes was my friend)

When I write master, I mean the wallbox in master mode (mode 1) and could be evcc or in my case, an esp32 using esphome later.

The communication is really simple:
The master send a message to all possible slaves (initital with a power level of zero) and later with the allowed current as an endless loop (approx one message per second).
The message has the following fields:

• Start of frame: 5Ah A5h
• Length of message (always 7): 07h
• Unknown, but always 0 (propable a second possible byte of the slaveid?): 00h
• SlaveId (2-9): 02h
• Unknown - Function code?: 02h
• Q/A: 01h
  • Master: 01h
  • Slave: 02h
• Allowed/Requested Current: 00h
  • Master: initial message with 0 / later the maximum allowed current (by default mostly the requested value)
  • Slave: the requested current (0 if not active - otherwise the maximum the wallbox and vehicle want to use for charging)
• CRC16-Modbus as LE uint16 from the fourth byte until the end: 85h E8h
  (The start sequence and the length byte are not included!)

I have a proof of concept code written in Python, which I used to test everything. It sends message to a specific slave only in an endless loop. But I don't know how this could easily integrated in evcc, because it is necessary to send the state message all the time and not only once (like e.g. a simpe modbus or rest api call). If the master don't send a messag for more than 30s, the wallbox shutdown with an error message. It would be possible to write a script, which runs as a daemon and will be controlled by e.g. a simple rest api or script call which sets the new current to shared memory?!

Note: once the master send a allowed current, the wallbox start charging. A value below 6A do NOT change anything - the wallbox keep charge by 6A (it's the minimum of most vehicles). I've test some things, but the master don't send other values/commands when I simulate multiple slaves with to much load. The master simple sends values like 4A/5A if I set a maximum of 9A, but the real load will be 12A!
But... It's possible to interrupt the charge process completly if the master don't send message anymore. When more than 6A are available we could send messages again and the the wallbox will be active and keep charging (tested once only!).

Hope it helps to implement the function in evcc.

I just opened the wallbox and there is no dedicated meter that can be accessed. The power measurement seems to be build up with discrete components. That's too much tinkering for me so I'm not going to investigate any further.

AFAICS, it's not hard to set a current from the set of possible values through the master/slave bus (NET1/NET2). However, for sane power management it would be necessary to read current/power/energy values from the GATEWAY connection, which nobody managed to do yet - even though it's "documented".

The mandatory evcc commands are as listed in the linked custom charger https://docs.evcc.io/en/docs/devices/chargers#custom:

Regarding 1: Status can be derived by messages between master/slave. I found the followin Codes:

However, for sane power management it would be necessary to read current/power/energy values from the GATEWAY connection, which nobody managed to do yet - even though it's "documented".

I am able to control the wallbox through the gateway connection. When i send the Iset command i can limit the wallbox from 16 to 6Amp
However there is no communication from the wallbox (at least i have not found it yet).

The registers in the manual have an error and i only have the Iset working.
I hope that the Imax and the Inow are also something usefull, but i doubt there is a way to pause or stop the charging.
