Currently stregsystemet has several holiday/event themes throughout various parts of the year. Ideally the app should have themes matching those of stregsystemet.

Currently stregsystemet has the following themes:

  • Christmas (snowflakes + background)
  • Feaster (beerflakes + background)
  • Haloween (bats)

It is also worth discussing how this should be implemented across each of various individual pages in the app as some of these effect may interfere with readabilty of some elements.

The framework cover the following:

  • Manage theme selection and activation. Themes should be required to specify the time periods during which they are active.
  • Expose available theming areas/options to the active theme. The theme itself should not be in charge of determining in which area effects such as bats should be placed. The theme should instead be given a container in which it can freely place the effect. This would make it easier to control where and when things are active on a per page basis.
  • Optionally the framework should allow the end user to disable effects entirely accross the app.
