shape detection

Has anyone integrated a basic shape detection into fabric?

My thought is to take a freehand path and then use a library to give a best guess match to a simple geometric shape, like rectangle, ellipse, triangle, etc.

Does anyone know of a js library that does simple geometric shape detection?
