At least for myself I don't do any development at the moment where fengari is relevant, so I don't have the urge to work on it.

This should be in the plans for fengari, but I don't think anyone has the time to put into it.

I'm an existing sponsor and I would be happy to contribute an extra one-off payment to bring the module up to date. Is anyone else interested in this?

Making a release would help to keep and get the package into Linux distro repositories.
