Hi! I tried to add a P100 to HA but as I copied the folder and modified configuration.yaml HA stopped working. I can’t reach it from browser and I can’t start it from ssh (raspberry pi 3a+ with raspbian).

I have to say that the folder “custom_components” did not exist: I created it. Do I miss something?

Hi,
These steps should fix it:

  • Hard reset the pi (I think it's the only way to regain access to ha)
  • Delete the tapo_p100_control folder
  • Restart HA
  • Copy the tapo_p100_control folder into custom_components
  • Restart HA
  • Add lines to configuration.yaml
  • Restart HA
  • Check Logs
  • Hope you don't get 'Invalid request or credentials' error :D

Hi! Thank you for such a fast reply! So i did not reset the pi because I have others stuff going on and I don’t have a backup to restore form (don’t judge me). I managed to keep HA up with tapo_p100_control folder but as I close the ssh connection, HA stops running. Maybe this is not related but before it did not happen.

Hi,
I'm not sure why that's happening I don't think it's to do with the integration (It might be though :D) Maybe someone more experienced with ha can provide some input :)
