Steam failed to launch due to a segfault

Problem description
Trying to launch Steam fails with the following output:

Uninstalling and reinstalling Steam or removing the ~/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam doesn't seem to help.
strace didn't seem to find anything suspicious, but I'm willing to provide logs if requested.

Does this issue reproduce with native Steam

Hmm, I can no-longer reproduce this error. The version of Steam I have installed is still 1.0.0.79, so I'm not sure what fixed it. It looks like this issue is caused upstream and is a duplicate of ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux#10969 though.
