Request: Move translation to Zanata #47
Comments
Hello, For the issue #126 I tried both Zanata and Transifex to test the gettext documentation platforms and I was unable to see how to push to Zanata but was able to create a test project with the latter. |
Having used both I really dislike Transifex for management personally. I'll set it up in Zanata. |
@bmillemathias I see you registered it on Zanata already, can you give me ownership? Username is |
done |
Ok so I think I set everything up: https://translate.zanata.org/project/view/flatpak-docs |
How can I add new language in zanata? |
Hello @ge0rgecz |
I opened #199 for Brazilian Portuguese following instructions in the top-level README.rst. Should I present it here? |
Seems like Zanata is set up |
There are 2 translations right now, the german one will follow [1], but it would be helpful to have this under one umbrella in Zanata [2].
Could you give this a push? Jean-Baptiste Holcraft would be so kind to help with the process.
Reasons:
Right now, i have transferred my translation (still in progress) from OmegaT to Lingotek [3], so i can give away roles for reviewing. But this is a workaround.
I am aware, that localization for the modules is done under the GNOME umbrella [4] (but there is no translation system), flatpak itself is freedesktop, but somehow it feels also like Fedora. Anyway, the documentation could need some unique home for the translation process (and maybe for related parts like OSTree, Boltron/Modularity). Having this said, i would be interested to work a little bit more on this topics.
[1] Fork flatpac-docs, german
[2] Zanata
[3] Lingotek
[4] GNOME l10n flatpak UI translations
