For application to (flat) Veech surfaces $M$ it would be nice to be able to have access to curves in (hyperbolic) surfaces $X$. Most importantly
being able to list periodic geodesics (that correspond to pseudo-Anosov on $M$)
being able to list rays between cusps (that correspond to Thurston-Veech in the $SL(2,\mathbb{R})$-orbit of $M$: surfaces which are completely periodic in both the horizontal and vertical directions)
