NBA2K2 occasionally freezes after exiting a finished game

Description of the Issue

Sometimes after games are finished and the game has gone to the end game menu, selecting "Exit" freezes the game. I can bring up the flycast menu and quit entirely, but the game will not progress to the transition video to the main menu and the animation behind the menu stops.

Debugging Steps Tested

• Load the state file in the following file: NBA2K2 state and vmu.zip
• Select "Exit" in the menu and press "A"

Another thing that happens (usually) before it completely freezes is the play-by-play commentary stops
And it’s just the player and crowd noises
Every time the play-by-play cuts out, the quit screen freezes. There are times, though, where the play-by-play goes the whole game and it still freezes.
