[Notice] Trying to get property of non-object

I have Version 3.1.5 of SS installed, and the 1.1 version of the gallery.

I get this error when i add an image and try to edit the caption.

I think that there's no data being returned from the caption query. Original problem line seems to be 369 of GalleryUploadField.php

Any thoughts to what i can do?

I have same problem, I was able to hide that notice on GalleryUploadField.php i just added
if (isset($joinObj)) on line 372 and end } line 384, but still it would be nice if captions can be added before save, or at least if we can disable edit button before its functional ...
