Current Issue
The Party-Specific Item feature in ERPNext only applies to individual customers or suppliers. There’s no option to set rules at the group level (e.g., for "Retail Customers" or "Local Suppliers") or choose between individual and group application.

Proposed Solution
Enhance Party-Specific Item rules to allow users to choose between:

A specific customer or supplier.
A customer or supplier group.
This flexibility would make the feature more versatile for businesses managing groups of customers or suppliers with similar rules.

Expected Benefits
Flexibility: Users can set rules for either individual customers/suppliers or entire groups.
Efficiency: Saves time by avoiding repetitive setups for multiple members of a group.
Accuracy: Reduces manual errors by centralizing group rule management.

How It Could Work
Add a "Party Type" dropdown in the Party-Specific Item setup with these options:

Customer
Customer Group
Supplier
Supplier Group
If a group is selected, the rule automatically applies to

Duplicate of #38757

I don't think this is much of a priority for the team since its been open for a while now. If you've got the time, a PR will be helpful.
