Overview

Hi @pwalsh and @akariv =)

@sapetti9 and I wanted to check with you on plans for Fiscal Data Package. Lately, we received some interest from people who would like to continue this work (Sara can share or we can have a call). Can you maybe provide some help to get them started or maybe you have your own ideas of finishing v1?

The fiscal data package v1 was published as a release candidate here:
https://specs.frictionlessdata.io/fiscal-data-package/#language

At the time we also released two accompanying "column type" taxonomies, for budget data and for spending data. These, while not part of the fiscal data package spec, were still considered to be recommended taxonomies to be used by implementers when possible.

I don't believe there were any outstanding issues that needed to be resolved there - it was more or less complete and ready for review (and use) when I last worked on the spec.

Shall we just mark it v1 as no issues were reported during the release candidate phase?
