Here is the Python code for my Raspberry Pi Project "FrimpieBox"
The FrimpieBox was built for my children to get rid of scratched radioplay CDs. Since we had a lot of Skylanders (a series of Playstation games) around that contain an RFID tag, the idea was to build a box that contains all radioplays. Each one of the plays can be associated with a Skylander. This way the kids can choose the radioplay by a corresponding Skylander.
- Automatical association of a radioplay with an RFID tag
- Import a new radioplay via USB stick
- Play a radioplay by placing an associated RFID tag
- Pausing radioplay by removing the RFID tag
- Shutdown after 30 minutes inactivity
- Amplifier is just activated when needed
- Volume setting is persisted
- LED control to show the state of the box
